The whole trip

Built for the moments fear shows up

Fear of flying does not start at the gate and does not end when the wheels touch down. Wingmate stays with you through all three parts.

  1. 01
    Before you fly

A briefing so the day feels less blank

Add your flight number and Wingmate builds a turbulence forecast along your route, explains the aircraft, and tells you which sounds to expect.

    • Turbulence forecast for your route
    • Aircraft and cabin sounds explained
    • Reminders that feel like a friend
  2. 02
    In the seat

    Company from taxi to touchdown

A live companion walks you through each phase of the flight. When anxiety spikes, the tools are one tap away and never need a signal.

    • Phase-by-phase timeline
    • Breathing, 5-4-3-2-1, cabin sounds
    • Quiet games with no timer and no losing
  3. 03
    After you land

A calm score that makes the next flight real

A short debrief turns the flight into a number you can look back on. Over time you see the trend, the tools you leaned on, and the aircraft you have flown.

    • How was it? debrief
    • Anxiety trend over weeks
    • Every aircraft you have flown
Turbulence briefing

Know what the sky is doing before you are in it

Most fear lives in the unknown. Add a flight number and Wingmate turns aviation weather into a briefing a nervous passenger can actually use.

  • Forecast along your track

Not a live radar. Wingmate looks at the forecast where you will actually be, and when, then explains it in plain words.

  • Pilot reports and SIGMETs

The same PIREPs and SIGMETs that crews read, from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center, translated for passengers.

  • Bumps, in context

Each leg gets a level and a reason. A front here, a jet stream there. Knowing why makes it smaller.

Forecasts are for comfort and understanding, not operational decisions. Always follow crew instructions.

FAQ

Questions nervous flyers ask us

Anything else? Write to hello@getwingmate.app and a person will reply.

Does Wingmate work in airplane mode?

Yes. Breathing, 5-4-3-2-1, cabin sounds, games, check-ins, and the scripts behind “I’m feeling scared” are all on your phone. Only fetching a new turbulence briefing or live flight status needs a connection, so open your flight before you board.

Where does the turbulence forecast come from?

From the NOAA Aviation Weather Center: pilot reports (PIREPs), SIGMETs, and forecast winds along your route, combined with schedule data for your flight. It is a forecast along your track, not a live radar, and it is for comfort and understanding rather than operational use.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Wingmate does not make an account. Your subscription is tied to your App Store or Google Play account and can be restored on a new device from Settings.

Is Wingmate therapy?

No. Wingmate is a flying companion with educational content and coping tools. It is not a medical device, not psychotherapy, and not a substitute for professional care. If flying fear is taking over your life, a licensed professional can help, and our Support page lists places to start.

What is a calm score?

After you land, Wingmate asks how anxious you felt. That becomes a score from 1 to 5, with 5 being calm. Over time you see the trend, which tools you used, and every aircraft you have flown. It stays on your phone.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. Cancel from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or tap Manage subscription inside Wingmate. Access continues to the end of the paid period.
